On the cultural side, Mykonos has several museums, both private and state owned, as well as art galleries that will showcase the best of what Greek and local artists have to offer. The archeological museum will give you a sneak preview of what life was like on the islands thousands of years ago, so will a trip to the famous archeological site of Delos, just a short boat ride away. The best time to visit for both cultural and outdoor activities is outside the hot and busy summer months of July and August.
